ivy broomrape

From memory I think Ivy broomrape is supposed to be more common on Hedera hibernica (Irish Ivy) so if you are still in Somerset you could see this more western plant

Hedera hibernica

I'm not sure what the up to date decision is as to species or subspecies - hibernica has twice the number of chromosomes as helix
