Description:

Yellow crustose lichen on limestone church wall. Small yellow particles on some lobes may be soralia. Frosted appearance of lobes may be pruinose surface. Possibly Caloplaca decipiens.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Identification

The churchyard is certainly one of those places that the more I look the more I see (and the less I can identify!) and I have a suspicion that I am going to find that most places are like that when lichens are involved.
Thanks for help with identification. All the observations submitted to iSpot and the comments they give rise to concerning features and details provide lots of helpful and interesting learning points to try and register. Many thanks.
