Argiope bruennichi (sounds

Argiope bruennichi (sounds more impressive in the original!) as far north as Reading? Climate change must be already happening, they used to be confined to within sight of the Solent.
Only one species in Northern Europe, but some very fancy ones closer to the Med.

Even further north!

They're a fair way north of Reading now - I saw them in Bedfordshire in 2006, which was an established colony even then, and the NBN has records from Norwich, Peterborough and Derby
