Seal bone

This is the right femur or thighbone, of a seal. I'd suggest Grey Seal, Halichoerus grypus, from its size. I have absolutely no idea what this would be doing at an inland locality - a few hundred yards from the sea, no problem, it could have easily found its way there. I assume by inland location, the finder means at least a kilometre or two from the sea, maybe much more! It may have been picked up by a scavenger, a dog or even a person, who later discarded it.
