Description:

These cropped up in abundance on the lawn. Dark spore and gills. I have NO INTENTION of eating the things. I am just curious as I am trying to learn to identify toadstools and mushrooms, and can't place these ones.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Thanks

How very tidy. Thank you flaxton, I think you are right, especially since they came up just after the grass was cut, in keeping with the Latin name.
