Carder bee?

Had the abdominal hair been gingery I'd have put it down at B. pascuorum but I've never seen one with white hair on the abdomen. Does it happen in this species? ID books only mention the presence of black hairs among the ginger. However, I've also never seen the additional white hairs towards the front of the abdomen on the few B. hypnorum I've seen so it is puzzling.
