Hi, the only UK damselfly in that part of the country with all blue S8 and S9 is the Common Blue, unfortunately the mushroom mark on S2 is not visible owing to the angle of shot, this would be the defining feature.

Thanks Chris, I had hoped that we would have had a shot of S2, but unfortunately it did not come out. S8+9 do look like E.cyathigerum, but the rest of the body did not seem to fit with this (hence why I put it on here). Perhaps it is just an slightly unusual morph.

Hi again, all I can add is that S6-10 (those with visible topsides) seem consistent with the Common Blue male, regards Chris.
