It looks like a Cape skink,

It looks like a Cape skink, this is pretty usual colour for a juvenile which are often darker than the adults. You should add a revised identification with the scientific name Trachylepis capensis. Maybe consider posting it on iSpot South Africa too (http://www.ispot.org.za), where there are some similar observations.
