Another key feature is the voice. I was fortunate to see this species at Fairburn Ings a number of years ago. The range of its song and the mimicry of British and African species was amazing to hear.

This bird was almost constantly singing, it mimicked birds like House Sparrow, Blackbird, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Swallow and others birds I had never heard before, presumably African species.
