Three examples seen in tight group initially - each about 1cm long, with "metallic-green" head and upper body, but with "copper" wing cases. One flew a short distance away to another blade of grass

I agree that it is a Garden Chafer - having been given the "clue", searches on the Internet reveal pictures that remarkably similar.

More examples seen on sides of Crug Hywel and in hedges along lanes around base of Sugar Loaf mountain on 18 Jun. Some web summaries of this bug suggest only likely to be seen for short period late May/early Jun
