As far as I know there is only one Alder which is Alnus glutinose

Alnus glutinosa is probably the most common but look here http://www.treenames.net/ti/alnus/alnus.html
I am here because I am trying to be certain about Alnus viride and thereafter the leaf miner in residence!

On watch as always! I agree with your viridis Martin but not this one. I am certain this is cordata. It's a very distinctive heart-shaped leaf with very shallow veination, quite thin and very finely edged. See http://www.ispotnature.org/node/437063 and
