calyx teeth

According to Rose, the calyx teeth of White Comfrey should be less than half the length of the calyx tube - I think these are longer than that, though it's hard to be sure. The stem doesn't look strongly winged, which cuts out Common Comfrey. Any chance of another close-up photo of the calyx tube - it seems to be particularly significant for comfreys. I've not looked at them closely before, so it is interesting!

Lovely

Well, I wouldn't have got that! The extra picture does make it much clearer. From my first look at the main picture, I thought the flowers were browned and going over, rather than pale pink. I am now going to be looking even more closely at comfreys. I saw an interesting patch yesterday by a roadside, but nowhere convenient to pull up, which was annoying.
