...was of use to you! The area I took this boasts a massive 80% of the total UK population of this species. This time of year it really is quite spectacular to see hundreds of thousands of them in flower.
North Meadow, near Cricklade will soon be covered in these snake's head fritillaries. They appear to follow the fields near the Thames. Can be seen in Oxford, and other places nearby. We have some in our garden. They are loved by lily beetles, though.
