A plague of frogs :-)

Observed: 14th July 2009 By: purplerabbitspurplerabbits’s reputation in Amphibians and Reptiles

The rain bought hundreds of tiny frogs out, hard to move without stepping on one.

I wouldn't like to say if these are frogs or toads - very difficult at this age.

Its actually very easy to tell frogs from toads when they first emerge, froglets are brown and much larger than toadlets, whilst toadlets are always black. Also froglets have a slight glossy sheen, as can be seen in your photograph, and toadlets are matt.

I would say frog because:

I would say frog because: they hopped quite a long way and had long back legs, they didn't like it as son as it stopped raining, and Magpies were eating them...
