Small (1-1.5cm upwards) caterpillars all over upper and lower surfaces ofleaves of mullein (Verbascum probably thapsus as this species has been observed here before). Caterpillars have no bristles and are marked with black spots within larger yellow spots, all on a creamy background, within thin transverse stripes either dark blue or grey. The leaf shows signs of being eaten.
