Confidence: I'm as sure as I can be.
Notes: Get recommended put in the common name. 'Insects of Britain and Western Europe' by M. Chinery (revised 2007) also makes reference to its being found "most often near the coast". The NBN map shows a distribution throughout England, with a lesser no. of records from Scotland. Similar to N. humator but distinctive pimples on the elytra and the antennae aren't clubbed on this species.
