Description:

I have returned a few times this year to the spot where I found Callicera rufa last year without success. But today I was rewarded. The photographs are not very good and I was not able to net a fly to confirm its identity - but it looks similar and is in the same place.
I have also been told that it is still present at the other Shropshire site - Haughmond Hill.

Callicera

Fantastic, a great find! I keep trying to think of a suitable spot near to me, but hill-top pines are few and far between round here. Maybe on the North York Moors, but that is a big area to search!
