Really need to invest in a good book to get a better I.D. for these

The Book I Use is...

Field Guide to Dragonflies and Damselflies of Great Britain and Ireland by Steve Brooks. ISBN 978-0-9531399-0-3.
It's a bit pricey at £18.95, but it works well for me.

I Suppose You COULD Use Chris's Website...

...seriously, I've used it often, and I'd be the first to say that Chris knows loads more about dragonflies and damselflies than I do; I'm just a beginner, really.
What I like about the book is 1. I can carry it in my rucksack (I can't be doing with those super devices that let you log onto the internet wherever you are), and 2. The to-scale paintings are really good. Sometimes a painting works better than a photo - ask any botanical illustrator. But when I'm at home, I often use Chris's site.
