Description:

Spotted this moth climbing up some Green Alkanet and at first didn’t spot anything wrong, then realised it only had a port set of wings.
I assumed it had had a narrow escape from a predator but having looked more closely at the photos as I got them ready I’m thinking more of some form of deformity, there does seem to be some vestigial of a fore wing (best seen in the second picture).
