Large bird dropping?

Could this be the dropping of a grey heron? I did rise a heron from this very small moorland lake as I approached and it tried to return a while later but veered off when it saw me. The dropping is very fresh, quite big, my first thought was swan or goose but then I wondered if it might have been the heron I pushed off the lake as I approached? I was under the impression that a herons dropping was more fluid like that of a gull but maybe it depends on their diet.

This looks like goose or swan

This looks like goose or swan droppings to me. I think you can see fibres in it which would suggest a diet of vegetation. In my experience heron droppings do tend to be more liquid.
