Weevil
Description:

This is by far the largest weevil I have ever seen. It was found feeding on "cow mumble" (Cow Parsley) leaves. The photo is not good but I took a shot before trying to catch the beast, which was just as well because as soon as a hand was extended in it's direction it leapt off the leaf and felt into the dense grass below. It was about 10-15mm in length and eating heartily on the leaf as can be seen in the photo. I.D. if possible would be appreciated.
