Quite large. Pale cap with dark brown blotches.

Fraid not - it was raining so hard, I snapped this and left in a hurry!
Next question. Is this photo a true representation of the colour ie smokey grey or was it more brown?
The blotches were dark brown.

Shame I did not notice these earlier as i would have gone to have a look, presumably you just went across the field from the carpark if that location you gave was accurate.
I had walked from Bow Brickhill towards Little Brickhill to view the "Shire Oak". Then crossed the road and walked back up over the golf course to return to BB. About 5 miles, so location wasn't spot on.
