Confidence: It's likely to be this, but I can't be certain.
Notes: I don't think this can be anything other than a Tawny Mining Bee. The thorax is covered in tawny red hairs and the top of the abdomen is the same, just visible in the image. The underneath also fits as it is black with greyish bands. A mason bee would not have the red thorax. Unfortunately the angle does not aid identification although it is an excellent image.
