Description:

I wonder if this is the species of weevil whose larvae are parasitized by the ichneumonid wasps (Tersilochinae) that David Notton identified in my recent post: “Hymenopteran around a Garlic Mustard plant”. There was a second species of wasp perched near this weevil (Image 2) but it stayed around only briefly.
