V. major has larger & rounder leaves than V. minor; which are smaller & narrow. V. major tends to suffer with a Rust fungal disease, cannot recall seeing V. minor with it.
the sepals are finely hairy - have just found magnify feature on orignal photo - new to ispot some of leaves do not look elliptical
