Good Place for Little Grebes, Rye Meads!

Hi Des. Get to Rye Meads often? I was there the day after you!

A first visit

No I've never been before, Simon, and I was very impressed - a delightful reserve.

A Reserve in Two Parts

As you probably noticed, there's the RSPB section and the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust bit. You can go through the gate from the former to the latter, but you can't come back - you have to carry on round and back along the road, past the (phew!) sewerage works.
For spotting stuff, the RSPB reserve is the most productive in my experience. On top of that, sadly there has been vandalism to some of the HMWT hides.
