Brownsea Island

Hi Janet, I have often thought about making a visit to Brownsea, is it worth it ?

jhn7's picture

It would be for you!

Dragonflies galore! I was so lucky with the weather too. Lots of birds on the lagoon and of course the history of the Island. Not enough time to stand and stare really as I landed 2pm and the last boat was 5pm.

Morels

By the way the council mowers have flattened the site of the Morels but they had shrivelled up to nothing anyway. I'll let you know if they appear next year, so we can catch them fresh. Regards Chris

Thought they would!

I'm excited already hoping to see them next year.
I think timing is important when visiting Brownsea aswell. I'd missed the avocets. I think it is good at migration time. Good leaflet here
