Is this a caddis fly?

I think it can only be a caddis, not one I'm familiar with but certainly appears to be a caddis of somesort, there are so many.
Some others on here might have a better idea of the species, but I agree its a caddis alright.
I don't know anything about caddisflies, I'm afraid.
Not sure that this is a caddis, but its hard to say with the light and the pose that it has been caught in. The wings look like they have coloured "scales" on them - they look like they are dusted with colour, rather than having their colour imprinted on them like a caddis.
I think thi is the caddis Goera pilosa, which makes amazingly strong and weighted larval cases
