Another set of pictures from the edges of Lake Girdew in Turkey.
Large numbers of these frogs were present along a shallow, well vegetated ditch in an area that was strewn with rocks interspersed with grass and flowers.

Probably bedriagae

It's almost certainly a Levant water frog (the name has changed too so it is now known as Pelophylax bedriagae. The observation is outside of the range of , although not that far... The ventral colouration is the best way to distinguish these species and your photos don't show this (it's not very easy to get a photo of a frog's belly...), so I can't be 100% sure. However the overall look of this frog seems more like P. bedriagae. There are some other observations of this species on iSpot, if you care to add a revised ID they would link up.
