Unknown tree

Observed: 11th April 2010 By: jmt59
treepic004 2

Tree about 10 metres high with only tiny leaflets at the end of shoots, but masses of what look from a distance like pink blossoms, but on closer inspection each "blossom" is made up of about 100 pink threads, thinner than the thinnest cotton thread, and about 70mm long, each thread having a tiny flower at the end, whose petals are no more than 2 or 3 mm long
