Worth putting the feeder up just for this visitor!
I have also had a bullfinch visiting the feeders in the garden, since the snows in jan. We see them in the fields from time to time, but until this winter, I have not seen one on the feeders. The current visitor is a really splendid example of his breed, with particularly vivid colours, but so are the chaffinches this year, and the robins. I started putting suet and fruit pellets on the ground, and they have been very popular, wondered if the food might be giving them an extra boost that they don't get from a seed mix?
(I cannot seem to get a photo, except through glass which doesn't show much)
