Description:

My dad found this on the ground at the bottom of the garden. I presume its a Long-tailed tit nest but any confirmation would be appreciated. There was no obvious entry hole when he found it, simply a ball of moss/lichen and such. In addition, can anyone identify some of the feathers inside the nest?...

Lng-tld tits nest

Entrance hole is about 2/3rds the way up the elongated globe.
If on the ground it had pobably been raided by Magpie Crow, or any of the Corvids.
