Tiny little fly feeding from a Pulmonaria officinalis native plant in the garden. It was so small and had a very distinctive orange coloured bottom.
No interactions present.
As I had just finished photographing beeflies when I took this shot I forgot to mention that it seemed to have a long nose.
I'm now wondering if this is Rhingia campestris?

Difficult to be 100%, but if you think so and from what I can see, I think you are right.
