I didn't actually meassure this ladybird, but it was smaller than the average 7-Spot. I don't know if you are thinking Harlequin, if so I can set your mind at rest. It was definitely not one of these pests.
No, I think it is probably a 10 spot but I have been caught out with size before and it's just handy to know before committing oneself. The 10-spot is quite small though (3.5 - 4.5 mm) would this have been about right ?.
Yes, it was quite small, buit I have looked through the pics I took but couldn't find one that shows its size with any accuracy. Certainly I was pretty sure it was a 10-spot.
