This is not C. edulis.

C. edulis has 6" yellow flowers although dying petals can have a pink tinge. The flower colour appears to be too pale to be pure Carpobrotus chilensis but intrageneric and intergeneric hybrids are very common. However, hybrids with Disphyma tend to be much smaller in all parts.

Another possibility?

I see C. acinaciformis is also frequently naturalised (and hybridizing with other congeners) in coastal Mediterranean regions, so it also may have been brought into the UK thereby contributing its genes to what are very probably hybrid swarms.
