Most certainly a Pike, you should however add the scientific name by pressing the "get recommended" tab when you add an ID, that will link it to other sightings on iSpot.

Pock Canal

The shallow Pocklington canal is a great place for Pike and there are some large ones in there, especially as you go down towards its confluence with the Derwent. I have seen them up to 20lbs weight close to where you saw this one. There are planty of other fish in there, too. Worth looking out for is the shoal of large Bream, which go up to about 8lbs in weight. A great place for other wildlife, too, of course.
