There are a lot of these around at the moment, aren't there? I see a lot up at Little Paxton.
Last year I tried a couple of the berries, and whilst there's a hint of strawberry flavour, I didn't find it particulary strong. And they were very small!
I saw a bank vole strolling past a couple; then he (or she) stopped, sniffed, and diverted to them. He picked one, and tucked into it before continuing his leisurely way about his business. Completely ignored me! Delightful.
I have to admit Simon that previously to this year I haven't taken much notice of our native flora but iSpot has got me interested. They are so small I can't imagine the fruits being up to much but I'll keep an eye out and try one later in the year. Regards Chris
