Would you say it is A Lucorum Queen then as the worker has a yellowish tinge to its face does it not?
At this date it is almost sure to be a queen (only these survive the winter). It is male lucorum group that have yellow faces. Workers are like small (and sometimes not so small) queens, with black-haired faces.
