Found east coast Majorca November 2011
Hollow balls filled with sea water, ranging in size from tangerine to orange, colour bottle green. (The balls are water-tight, ie. when removed from the sea, the water will only gradually evaporate and the balls eventually shrivel up but over several days.) Outside surface has fine pores similar to the skin of a tangerine. The inside is covered in a network of thin fibres, white-ish to transparent in colour. On the outside in a couple of places, 5 little stems sticking out, ca. 2mm long, colour beige.
