I'm not doubting your ID but could you please explain what makes this different from a normal Rock Pipit. It would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am not certain of that ID, but the underparts look quite clean and the streaking quite clear, similar to that on a Water Pipit rather than a normal Rock Pipit. There is something of a flush of colour on the head/neck in one picture, which also suggested littoralis. I don't have great experience of the ssp, though, so am happy to be contradicted.
