Did not seem well, although quite plump. It always seems to be bad news when you see them in daylight.

Took it in and warmed it up: it became more active but there was blood in the faeces. I've taken him (as it turns out) to a local carer, who is going to try some antibiotics.
Fingers crossed that it picks up,the vet's will take them in too free of charge.

I did learn that you can find local trained carers in quite a few areas on the internet.
I've always been fond of animals (dogs especially can work out I'm a soft touch, instinctively), but I'm surprised at how sad this one's death made me.
I had the same thing happen to me last summer and mine too had to be put to sleep,all you can do is try to help and you did the best you could,at least it had some care and help and it is only natural to get upset I would worry if we didn't have those feelings.
