Frog Noise

Observed: 27th April 2010 By: woodruff

Description:

We have loud noises from our rushes that I assume are frogs but the noise isn't like the deep bullfrog noises from the pond earlier in the year. It is higher pitched and more grasshopper-like and judging by my dog's reaction it is very high pitched. Is this still frogs? We have had loads of rain so it's very wet out there.

feeble

The common frog (and common toad) has a feeble croak and you don't tend to notice it until it's far away. It may be a cricket, especially if your dog can hear it better than you.

I would be most interested if you did have bullfrogs in the area. Have you seen any frogs or just heard them?
