This jellyfish was on a beach in Yorkshire. Could anyone please tell me what species it is and, if they have the information, more about the ID?

The accepted English name is 'Blue Jellyfish'. No surprise there, then. ;-)

Blue Jellyfish?

Are you sure about that? I had a look on the internet and apparently the blue jellyfish lives in Japan and is very big.
