Female chaffinch, sadly with only one leg. One of a pair who are currently regular visitors to my parent's holiday lodge bird feeder.

I can see why you might have

I can see why you might have thought it was a chaffinch as the female greenfinch is paler and browner than the male. However both greenfinch genders have green edges to the wing and the tail, whereas a chaffinch male or female has two light wingbars and a smaller bill. The chunky bill and larger size are always a give-away if you can't see any markings

I have a couple of finch's with one leg and one with the foot(claws Missing)but they seem to do well.
