Hi Keith it looks fresh and will if so - be a first generation most SB have two generations throughout the year there are some exceptions like the Spiked which is seen toward Autumn as one Generation

Number of generations

Adults of some British and Irish shieldbugs overwinter so they are visible at two seasons - autumn and spring, but its still a single generation. So this individual will have freshly emerged from hibernation rather than being a new adult.
