about 4inches so is it a field or bank vole?

Short-tailed vole

My computer screen isn't good enough to be sure whether the tail is naturally short or chomped off, but the fur colour certainly looks more like field vole (not reddish) so if Jeremy can see a rounded end to the tail I agree with that.
