To me it doesn't look unusual, really. It looks dull green, but then I am green-brown colour-blind, so you are asking the wrong person!
... the colour of the back is well within the range of a female greenfinch. I also agree it is not the nice olive green of a summer male, this and the small amount of yellow apparent in the tail suggests (I am only slightly brave) a female bird.
Yellow tips confirm greenfinch, it does look brownish but then they are not a bright green more a dull green as ophrys says, could also be colour variation due to the lighting of the photograph.
