First sightings

It would be great to compare first sightings of summer visiting birds, butterflies, early flowering plants, etc. I'll start the ball rolling.

Nice to see some activity

Nice to see some activity here, Steve. I am not actually an official mentor now (since the end of March), though I still watch the site.

My first Willow Warblers in Strathpeffer were on 15 April. Usually I see Swallow within a day or two, but none yet.

We had a 4-Spotted Chaser on 28 March in Nethy Bridge, 2.5 weeks earlier than any other record we have, but that was in the amazing record-breaking spell of weather before we headed back to winter!

Spring birds

There have been a few reports of Willow Warblers on Skye, but they've arrived en masse today - there was one singing when I walked out my front door at 8am this morning!

There have been a couple of Swallows reported, but I haven't seen one yet.

First sightings

I haven't looked at the Forums for a while but I came across your thingy tonight. I think I have posted the first Sand Martin's (in Scotland) yesterday (17th April) but I saw my first ones on Monday 16th - on River Teviot.
