Description:

This was foraging on the ground in partial shade. Looked to be much larger than ordinary.

I did consider terrestris

I did consider terrestris because of the size but the white tail seemed to be dominant.

Species

Hi Robert, these are always tough but B. lacorum generally was wider and more yellowy bands. Whereas B. terrestris has more orangey bands particularly on the thorax and can have a whitish tail but I'm not 100% sure on it, I just believe it is. In the second image the tail looks off white with a hint of buff colouring, I think !!!!!! Regards Chris.

Thanks Chris and I do see what you mean and I am a bit of a duffer with insects. Too used to large farm animals I guess.
