Three photos of miner bees that are nesting under some paving in my back garden. When disturbed - by treading on the paving - about 6-8 bees come out to investigate. They are about honey bee sized, and seem to share 2 or 3 entrances to the nest. My best (uneducated) guess is Andrena sp. - possibly carantonica?
